BEO is excited to be advertising the role of our Head of Finance.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of all aspects of financial reporting, including management accounting, statutory accounts, budgeting and financial planning, as well as compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
You will be responsible for the production and review of monthly management accounts, with commentary on key variances and highlights for the CEO and budget holders, and quarterly accounts for the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, Treasurer, and the Board of Trustees, developing the reporting format to meet evolving needs.
To be successful in this role, you will hold/have:
• a professional accountancy qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ CIPFA/ACA) or be qualified by experience;
• an in-depth knowledge and understanding of internal controls and compliance with internal and external regulations/legislation;
• an excellent knowledge and understanding of Charity Accounting Regulations and Charity Law;
• significant experience of financial reporting and financial management, as well as strong financial accounting skills, including preparation of year-end financial statements;
• excellent organisational skills and possess the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines;
• be a collaborative leader, team player and team builder;
• a strong and demonstratable commitment to Anti-Racism and a commitment to the mission of BEO.

This position is offered as a fixed term, 18-month contract, and will report to the CEO.
