As part of our continued engagement on safety and security, the Black Equity Organisation (BEO) is bringing our communities together for a second event this year, focused on practical support, preparedness, and building resilience. We would like to invite you to our upcoming online event, BBM Safety and Security: Building Community Resilience, delivered in partnership with HOPE not hate and chaired by a BEO Trustee.
The session will explore the rise of the far right, how threats can develop online and, in our communities, and practical steps we can take to protect ourselves and build resilience. We will also look at safety for Black people working in education, academia, and other public-facing professions, including the wider issues highlighted by the recent experience of Professor Jason Arday and the responsibilities of institutions when individuals are targeted.
