EVENT

Commemorating Windrush: 75 Years On

DATE
07/06/2023
LOCATION
Rose Court, London

Honouring known and unknown contributions

2023 marks the 75th anniversary of Windrush that brought the first large group of post-war West Indian / Caribbean people to Great Britain. After a five-week journey, the HMT Empire Windrush anchored at Tilbury Docks, Essex, on 21 June 1948 carrying over 800 passengers from the Caribbean.

Join us for an evening of learning, reflection and celebration as we hear from a historian as well as esteemed panellists with expertise and lived experiences of Windrush survivors.

This event has been created with our partner  WWP, a creative, transformative company that uses creativity to build better futures for their people, planet, clients and communities.
