Every day, Black people across the UK bring talent, ambition and innovation to their workplaces. Yet many continue to experience barriers that affect their careers, wellbeing and opportunities for progression.
That’s why Black Equity Organisation (BEO) has launched one of the most comprehensive studies ever undertaken into the workplace experiences of Black people across the UK.
At a time when conversations around race equity are becoming increasingly contested, robust evidence has never been more important. Through this landmark initiative, BEO is gathering the lived experiences of Black employees to build a powerful evidence base that can influence employers, improve workplace practices and inform future government policy—including discussions around ethnicity pay gap reporting.
If you identify as Black and are currently in employment, your experiences matter. Whether your journey at work has been positive, challenging or somewhere in between, your perspective is essential to creating an accurate picture of what it’s really like to be Black in today’s workplace.
The survey takes approximately 20–30 minutes to complete. Participation is entirely voluntary, anonymous and confidential, and every response will contribute to research that has the potential to shape fairer workplaces across the country.
